Myself in front of my Great Grandfather's tombstone,
Charles Smith. Thomas Smith came from England when he was a small boy
and landed in New York. When coming of age there, he married Martha
Sadler and they migrated to Vermillion County, IL. One of their children (5
of 8 died young) who lived to manhood was Charles Smith, buried here.
Charles had Thomas Smith and Thomas had my father Wendall Smith, who is also
buried in this cemetery.
