William Leroy Apple (1888 -1932) - younger brother of my great grandmother; Nancy "Jennie" Apple.  "Roy" Apple, as he was called, was named for his great grandfather, William Apple.  He married Lora Everly.  Family tradition says he shot himself when he lost a lot of money in the stock market crash in the 30's.  A newspaper clipping said he died from an accident at a plant in Detroit, who knows the truth? although another family member remembers the suicide story too. This picture was taken in his early school years, about 1895?
