Aline & Laura Pendergrast, Austin's Daughters

Aline H. Pendergrast was born in 1896 in California to Austin Albert Pendergrast and Sarah Lee Herndon. Austin Albert Pendergrast was a son of Patrick Pendergrast and Laura Virginia Albert, from Vermilion county, IL. Aline also had a sister Laura, obviously named for Austin's mother, Laura Virginia Albert. Recently, December 2005, someone contacted me to let me know she had rescued an album from a church sale, and it was of an Aline Pedergrast's, dtr of Austin Pendergrast. She had found my web site and contacted me so she could send them to a family member.

Obviously in 1938, Aline took a trip with her parents and her daughter, Mary Krause, perhaps cross country as they have pictures from Colorado, Nevada, San Francisco and Death Valley. Aline married Walter Krause who was a Major in the Navy.


Newspaper Article There are no pictures of another daughter named Aline, so perhaps this article is later after the trip to Hawaii in 1938 or perhaps the article is wrong. Laura Pendergrast, pictured below, was the daughter of Sarah Lee Herndon and Austin Albert Pendergrast, and sister to Aline Pendergrast above. Austin Albert Pendergrast was my Paternal Great Great Grandmother's (Susan Pendergrast) Brother. These photos were generously donated by Richard "Dick" Adams, his wife descends from Laura.
